Excerpts from a Pink Sheet

"Mr. A said he wanted to go outside, so we went into the garden. He insisted that he did not want me to help by pushing the wheelchair, and I observed that he skillfully and rapidly moved to the garden. He enjoyed being in the fresh, somewhat chilly air. He was able to zipper up his jacket with very minor difficulty. We sat outside for about 20 minutes and discussed some of his life experiences: growing up during the depression, hunting, fishing, completing high school, moving to Charleston, employment at the navy yard, enlistment in the Navy and preparation for the invasion of Japan at the time of War's end. He is very much aware of his surroundings, bulbs he planted last year are now blooming; when the various bushes were planted; even his observation of a buzzards nest in a nearby pine tree, which, with his aid, I finally located."
